Memories

Since finding life eating employment, I have not found the time to make anything. Initially the sole reason I got a job in the first place was to provide the necessary funds to enable me to invest in better materials. Factors such as the price of silk increasing or the fact my Grandfather is no longer around to shoot anything that moves has also added to the financial hurdle of being creative. For example, The crow, pictured above cost me nothing to make, well, lets say £2 if you include the glue, the comb and the shotgun cartridge, but since my Grandfather popped his own clogs, such a piece will now cost me roughly £15-20 to make for I will have to buy the wretched bird, unless of course I find a dead Raven, which , to this day, I never have. This picture also reminds me that I need to return to making large pieces, large wing spans are significantly better than small ones. Personally I don't like making anything small for whenever I make or sell anything small, horrifically disturbing thoughts pass through my mind of someone asking the wearer " nice head piece, is it from urban outfitters?"
